Aircraft Maintenance

Owning and operating a light aircraft is both challenging and rewarding. However along with the rewards come the responsibilities, foremost among which is safety and this depends to a very large extent on regular and relevant maintenance. The rules and philosophy on this demanding topic have changed considerably in the last few years and it has becomes quite difficult for the private owner to keep up to speed.

This is where we at CAS Engineering can help you. Whether you just fly a classic Tiger Moth on warm Summer’s evenings, or journey over to the Continent for business meetings in a modern 4-seater, our team has very probably worked on the exact type you fly. This experience means that we have had to establish the “paper trail”, required to satisfy both the UK CAA and the European EASA agencies, which is becoming a minefield for private operators.

We have carried out routine maintenance on a fleet of modern and vintage aircrafts used for public transport and private flying for over 18 years.

We have gained Part M Subpart G & I approvals and are therefore able to issue Airworthiness Review Certificates for most popular aircraft and are able to offer full "Controlled Environment" services, or ad hoc CAMO/ARC issues for those in the controlled environment.

Pre-purchase inspections -
Our licenced Enigineers can carry out pre-purchase inspections and can offer you the advantage of their vast experience to help you to make the right decision and to avoid what could be a very costly mistake.

We have particular expertise in natural and synthetic fabric work, wood repairs and riveting skin repairs. Our engineers have 45 years of experience between them and are fully licensed (BCAR license, A,B & C and Part 66).
